I was in my high school IT room, with my Mum and other dream characters, who I assumed to be students from high school. I was informed - it may have been by my Stepdad, earlier, as I seemed to 'already know' that my Mum had been fired from her job in The Two Lifeboats Hotel (this is the pub/hotel managed by my Mum when I was a child - she left this job and was not fired from it). The Emperor, Sheev Palpatine (Darth Sidious) from Star Wars was responsible for getting my Mum fired and I was very angry at him. In the dream, the pub was actually called 'The Senate'. My Mum was crying.

Waking Reactions:
This was an interesting dream as it combines many elements of Day Residue. The narrative of this dream was not very cohesive when I look back on it, but during the dream, it felt like one progressive narrative which fit together well. I did not actually see Palpatine in this dream, which was a shame as I would love to meet him in the dream world.

Scene 1: A House Party - Night
I was arriving at a house party - the house it was held in is not one I know from real life, and it appeared to be a normal semi-detached council house in the suburbs. It was night time. The house party was attended by the skateboarders, alternative kids and other former high school friends, although it seemed that we were all adult in the dream. I knew MS (my first ever boyfriend at high school, now working in Computer Science at my University) was at the party and I was very keen to see him, but The Emperor, Sheev Palpatine (Darth Sidious) was preventing me from meeting up with him. I cannot recall seeing Sheev Palpatine in the dream, just that he was the person blocking me from seeing MS. This was frustrating.
Scene 2: My House (a dream version, not real life home) - Time Unknown
I then returned from the party to my own home, although it was not my real life home, it was one I was living in in the dream. I was aware that I had a TV and Sheev Palpatine had forced my Mum to hand it over to him. My Mum had replaced this (large) TV with a very small portable black-and-white one, which disappointed me. I was in my bedroom (a normal looking room, decorated mainly in white and pale colours) looking at this tiny TV which was surrounded by a number of other small (unrecalled) items. I decided to go back to the house party to see MS and was thinking that I would not allow Palpatine to stand in my way this time.
I found myself back at the house party, standing at the back door, which was the entrance everyone was using to access the house. I knew Palpatine did not want me to go inside, but I did anyway and found myself in one of the bedrooms, which was dark. I started talking to MS. I cannot recall anything else about this part of the dream.

I was then in a domestic bathroom - I am not sure where this bathroom was. I was running a bath, which I intended to use. There were other (unrecalled) dream characters also in the bathroom with me, although this did not bother me at the time. Suddenly a dog jumped into view - this dog looked like N the Dog, but it was not him. It had a very long, thick tail and started whipping the tail around, injuring one of the female dream characters. An older male dream character told me that I had 'not made use of the bath' - it seemed that the dog jumping into the room and harming people with it's tail had stopped me from taking my bath.
Scene 4: My Parents Bedroom in my Former Childhood Home - Day
I was sitting on a double-bed in a room which I presumed to be my parents' bedroom in my former childhood home in Pine Grove, Sheringham as it looked as I remember that room to be. I had just finished a telephone call, although I cannot recall who I was talking to. I noticed that JKK was in the room with me. I said to her: 'I hate white people with dreadlocks', then I noticed that she had her hair in dreadlocks, other than the fringe, which was loose. Her hair looked much thinner than I remember it, and a light brown colour. The dreadlocks looked like very amateur attempts and more like sparse braids. I was worried that I had insulted JKK with my comment about dreads on white people, so I said: 'But yours look OK', even though I thought they looked terrible. JKK seemed to accept this.
Scene 5: A Stage in a TV Studio - Night
I was then standing beside a stage, watching a performance. The stage looked like it was in a TV studios and there was a lot of smoke/dry ice and blue lights. The actual set around the stage was made of a white angular material which appeared to be tiled. I assumed that the performer was Katy Perry (I could not actually see her at this point), with a back-up singer (who I knew was sitting on the edge of the stage). However, as I moved around the perimetre of the stage (noticing that a live TV show was being filmed, this performance being part of it), I saw that the singer was actually Rihanna, singing a cover of a Katy Perry song - 'Roar' (from Prism (2013)). I cannot recall what Rihanna was dressed in, but she looked like she was from the 1980s. After she finished singing the song, she exited the stage by walking down a set of steps to meet the TV presenter to be interviewed for the show.

I was in my high school IT room, sitting by the door. It also felt as if it were a 'workplace' rather than a classroom in a school. Rihanna was there as were a number of dream characters, using the computers. Drake entered the room - he was disabled and could hardly walk at all. He had been out on an errand for Rihanna, who had asked him to buy her some hair dye. The hair dye Drake had bought was a cheap ginger one, costing £1. I thought that Rihanna would not accept this, but she seemed happy with it.

I love seeing how my dreams create 'new stories' from the same material and this dream is an excellent example of this.

I was in a small room with members of my family, including my Mum and my Nan. The room looked like a classroom or office and there was a projector screen mounted on the wall. My Nan was making a speech and referring to 'Alabama West', who was the child of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian-West. My Nan could not pronounce the name 'Alabama' and she was getting annoyed about this fact. I cannot recall what else happened in this scene.

I was then in a domestic interior, although I am unable to recall exactly what house this was. I suspected that someone had stolen some cannabis from me, which had been stashed in this house. I then discovered that I had slightly more cannabis than I first thought, as I kept finding several small buds which all amounted to a considerable pile of cannabis.

This dream was very interesting to me as it seems to reflect the notion of changing paths in a career - moving towards work in prosecution rather than defence, as well as weaving in other material from Day Residue in a meaningful way.
Please note that these dreams are recorded on a single post as I have not been able to update my Blog regularly, and instead collected as many dreams as I have been able to recall (many of my dream memories were lost during this period) in a memo on my phone. When reading back through the memo of dream memories, I was aware that I had not included all the usual material I normally would and could not even remember some of the material I had listed - I could barely even recall actually recording it on my phone. Scene 1: A Commercial/Business Area - Day
I was in an interior which appeared to be a commercial or business premises, although members of the public seemed to be allowed inside. It may have been a shopping mall. I was approached by someone, a male dream character, who was some kind of authority figure. He was wearing a black suit, but not specifically a 'uniform' although I recognised him to be an authority figure immediately. This man had a list which recorded misdemeanours/crimes committed by people. It was his job to find the perpetrators and ask them if they would plead guilty to the offences they were alleged to have committed. I was annoyed when approached by this man as I 'thought I had got away with it'. The man showed me an entry on his list which recorded the fact that I had said 'Fuck Off' in public, this being a public order offence (threatening language). He asked if I pleaded guilty to this offence, but I did not want to. I started to walk with him down a long, technological-looking blue corridor (it seemed like a space station, although it was not - it was still the same building as before). He then told me that 'JD's father' (JD is a Facebook friend from Sheringham, who I used to work with) had also committed an offence, but had died since, meaning JD was now responsible for the actions of the deceased father. His offence was one of minor racism (I cannot recall the details of this alleged offence, but it involved saying a racist word). The man told me that I could plead not guilty to my offence of saying 'Fuck Off' in public but that would mean that JD would automatically be convicted for her father's racism, without an opportunity to defend herself. I reasoned with myself before choosing - my offence was just saying 'Fuck Off', whereas the dead man had been racist, which was far more hateful and criminal. However, in order to save myself, I would have to allow JD to be convicted for something she did not do herself. I chose to save myself and said I was not guilty of my offence, but JD's father was guilty of his. The man accepted my choice and left me alone - innocent and facing no punishment. I wondered if I should feel guilty for saving myself at JD's expense, but did not. I then worried that I might have to be the 'prosecution witness' in JD's forthcoming trial. I realised that this was actually more hassle than me simply admitting my own offence - if I had admitted my own offence, all I would need too do is attend court and give evidence in my own defence. Now I would be giving evidence against JD/her father for the prosecution and would be seen as 'a snitch'. This troubled me. I was standing on a narrow ledge outside the building, but it was at ground level and safe, so I was not scared (I am scared of heights). I cannot recall what else happened in this dream.

I chose to save myself and said I was not guilty of my offence, but JD's father was guilty of his. The man accepted my choice and left me alone - innocent and facing no punishment. I wondered if I should feel guilty for saving myself at JD's expense, but did not. I then worried that I might have to be the 'prosecution witness' in JD's forthcoming trial. I realised that this was actually more hassle than me simply admitting my own offence - if I had admitted my own offence, all I would need too do is attend court and give evidence in my own defence. Now I would be giving evidence against JD/her father for the prosecution and would be seen as 'a snitch'. This troubled me. I was standing on a narrow ledge outside the building, but it was at ground level and safe, so I was not scared (I am scared of heights). I cannot recall what else happened in this dream.

- A few days before this dream I had been involved in an online discussion about whether participants would serve a long sentence for a crime committed by their best friend, or whether they would snitch on him/her. I had been thinking about this (using my legal expertise) and the fact that this could lead to the innocent party becoming a witness for the prosecution
- On the day of this dream I had been watching scenes from the Alien franchise - which may have influenced the 'technological' appearance of the dream scene, which I likened to a space station

This dream was very interesting to me as it seems to reflect the notion of changing paths in a career - moving towards work in prosecution rather than defence, as well as weaving in other material from Day Residue in a meaningful way.
Please note that these dreams are recorded on a single post as I have not been able to update my Blog regularly, and instead collected as many dreams as I have been able to recall (many of my dream memories were lost during this period) in a memo on my phone. When reading back through the memo of dream memories, I was aware that I had not included all the usual material I normally would and could not even remember some of the material I had listed - I could barely even recall actually recording it on my phone. Therefore, these dream reports are more vague and lacking in detail than usual, but I will be resuming my normal dreamwork/recording and blogging from this point forward, so please stay tuned!
